This is Dr Jim. He has been working as a surgeon in PNG for 25? years.
Jim and his wife Kathy, are amazing examples of Christ for our family and for the PNG people.
My Utmost for His Highest devotions for today is based on the verse
"I will very gladly spend and be spent for you".
I think this is the Radcliffe's family verse, or a verse I will give to them. They are continually laying down their own interests for the needs of those around them.
I am thankful to be serving with them!

That's an encouraging verse for anyone in any type of ministry. The ESV says "for your souls" - Think that needs to be my memory verse for next week.
I am from the Chicago area in the USA, but every morning I click on the South pacific family web page as I'm interested in missions and have either corresponded with several or met some of them (including Radcliffs) - a very special family in my opinion. And I love getting acquainted with some of you newer ones. By the way I have a Emma also. she is my great-niece and is 5 and yes very talkative. This is the third Emma I have heard of that is very talkative. Must be something in the name. She is usually talking or singing, but very precious as I'm sure your 7 yr old is also. I guess they must go thro stages in their lives when they feel grumpy to , right?
Love reading all of the bloggs- even Aden and Wiley and Erin Mieir

I got your blog address from Scott's e-mail to your mailing list today. I am so glad I came over. I have been blogging for almost 3 years now and have made so many wonderful Christian friends in cyberspace - and have met 5 in real life.
I love the story about Olivia and the little boy, and the one about the exercise room, and the one about Emma - sorry she's going through a grumpy period! I can't believe we have Emma and Olivia, too. Our Olivia doesn't want to be called that (except her preschool friends call her that). We have to call her Livi. Our Emma is the more talkative of the twins - well, twin baby talk.
I can't remember if we have you scheduled for your next trip home or not. We must remedy that if we don't!
Your house looks so nice. I wondered about the t.v. reception!
I have a private blog, because Kristen and I both had to keep her ex-husband (since October, sad story) from "stalking" us there. If you'd like to see pictures of the twins, etc., I'd be glad to have you visit. I have to invite you - you just need to write me at dawn.carlson@colostate.edu.
Have a super day! I hope this phase ends soon and Em returns to her true self! I love what you're doing to try to remedy the situation.
I agree 1,000% Gail!!! The Radcliffes are amazing examples of servanthood and humility! Please give them my love,
~Alison
