Box from Dear Meghan!

If you follow my blog often, you know we LOVE boxes.

IMG_3247 IMG_3254 IMG_3255 Meghan loved that we paint rocks outside the house with our PNG friends!  When we ran out of paint, I let her know and she supplied!!  She also blessed us with coffee, tea, and a bear.  Can you guess where she works?  Thanks Meg!IMG_3257

Bread and Cheese

A new family is joining us in the future.  They asked about bread and cheese.  This is what we got!

Above is the bakery in Hagen, one hour away.007 008 009 Here is our cheese selection.  010 012

I got so busy taking pictures, I forgot to buy some cheese for myself.  If you can’t see in the picture, it is 23 kina for 500gm of cheese.  That is about 8 dollars.

So we do have bread and cheese here.  I usually make my own bread, 6 loaves on Monday. That is just a little window into my life.

Em’s insect

Em created this insect!  Very fun science lesson for you.  This is posted for our friend Luke.

P.S. Our internet system got FRIED in a power surge!  So I might be quiet for awhile.

Magret is making a quilt

I have a friend in Colorado, she owns a quilt store!  While in the states, she asked me what colors I wanted.  I thought of Magret and asked for purple.

Magret had never sat at a sewing machine in all of her life.  I showed her the quilt that Em (10 years old) made to encourage her, and off she went!  Magret has fallen in love with sewing and we are about 1/3 done!  She is making the quilt to hang in her new house, which she hasn’t started to build yet.  But is planning ahead.

What a fun time we are having together, laughing and sharing!  IMG_3210 IMG_3212 IMG_3213

First day of Kindergarten together!

This is Anna and Olivia on their first day of K together.  Our missionary kid’s school is grade 1-8.  So parents do Kindergarten.  This being my 3rd child, this is my 3rd time for Kindergarten!  It is super fun.  I know that I would not have had this chance in the states, because I would have just sent them to school, but I really love it!  Watching the little light bulbs turn on when they figure something out!  Amazing!IMG_3206 IMG_3207 IMG_3208

First OFFICIAL day of school

Well, it happened Oct 6th, the missionary kid’s school is officially opened!  The high school kids and us Dooley’s have been going since August. Aunt Diane just returned from furlough, so now the school is off and running! IMG_3183 IMG_3186 IMG_3187 IMG_3188 IMG_3189
