Look at those eyes!
Our lives have been in a bit of a turmoil since getting our puppy. There was massive confusion in our acquiring the puppy. The owner said "free" we thought that meant "no cost", he meant "available". All of our interaction has been via email as he is not in PNG any longer. So we didn't know if we could keep the puppy, or if we should and at the same time loving the little guy.
We have decided to keep him.
On another note...
There has definitely been some opposition here on the front lines of the mission field and we covet your prayers.

Coppertone!
To add some balance to the male/female ration in our house, we added a boy puppy!
Coppertone and 2 of his brothers came to Kudjip Station on Monday! We are all quite excited, it is the first puppy for the girls. Copper's 2 brothers are at other missionary houses. There was a puppy play time today for the siblings and they had lots of fun!
New Stove
As Nazarene missionaries, our salary and housing are paid by individuals paying into the general church. The individual's money goes to World Evangelism Fund.
We get deputation money when we go to local churches in the states, while we are on home assignment, and share our stories. The local church often takes up an offering and this money goes to our deputation account.
To use this money, we ask permission from our leaders. We got the approval to replace our old stove (above) with our new stove (below). Our old stove had multiple problems and we had been closing the oven door with a wire for the last 2 years.
Thanks for taking care of us, your missionary to PNG!

Fun things to see in Hagen
This really made us laugh!
The box says "outdoor show with spike"
It is a shower that you stick in the ground and hook up to a hose.
We think that the box should say "outdoor shower with spike" But, when you get specific, it would be a show! Maybe they had it right after all!
Volunteers leaving!
Safety first!
